Washington. DC

This northwest DC row house was completely renovated on all three levels. The owners requested a warm, modern, light-filled home, with the main spaces open to each other for ease of entertainment.

The dividing walls were removed on the first floor to allow light to come from both ends of the row house. An additional window was added in the rear along with new kitchen cabinets and an island. A custom display unit made of steel and wood sits in the main space, and storage below the new stairs was made more accessible w/ new access doors.

The second level includes a media room and rear office, along with full bath and storage. The master suite is on the third floor with a new master bath which opens to the hallway and skylight through a large sliding door.

A uniform palette of warm colors, wood floors, exposed brick, steel, and glass unify the three levels.
